Mr. Wilson V. Bethea, Sr., left this world peacefully on June 4, 2020 , at Virginia Beach General Hospital in Virginia Beach, VA . He was surrounded by family and friends. Although he has departed this phase of his life, he now forever lives in the arms of the father... ' for to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. ' SUNRISE: DECEMBER 14, 1937 Mr. Bethea was born in Norfolk, Virgina to Maddie and Leroy Bethea on December 14, 1937. He graduated from Booker T. Washington High School in 19 56 . He entered the United States Army, served with distention, and retired a Master Sergent after 20 Honorable years. Upon, returning home, he founded and maintained his legacy, Magic Carpet Cleaning Service. He is survived by one daughter, V. Christina Garica (Luis), two sons Sherard A. Bethea, and Wilson V. Bethea Jr., brothers William E. Bethea (L e nora), Robert L. Bethea, sister Vernoa M. Ware (James), eight grand children, three great grand children, nieces, nephews, his beloved and l ong time companion Ms. L inda V. Baxter, very special friend, Ms. Saundra L. Bethea-Pegues, and many, many friends. He is welcomed into God's kingdom by his brother's Vernon Bethea, Leory Bethea, and one sister, Mildred Bethea-Barge. May they all rest in peace
