Vivian C. Ewing passed peacefully into eternal rest on Wednesday March 15, 2017 at her home. She was a native of Wadesboro, North Carolina and the daughter of the late Cebaun and Lucy Bennett Plunkett. She was the widow of Walter L. Ewing, Sr.  Mrs. Ewing was a member of Grace Episcopal Church, she retired from the Norfolk Social Bureau after which she became the first Dean of Women at Norfolk State University. She is survived by sons, Walter L. Ewing, Jr (Loretta) and John B. Ewing. She will also be sorely missed by two grandsons and four great grandchildren as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
