On this day, we celebrate the life of Torin "TJ" Painter. We also magnify our Lord and Savior, who gave us 36 years to make some of the most memorable moments with him.

One the 27th day of January 1989, the world was introduced to Torin "TJ" Painter and welcomed him with open arms. Born and raised in Norfolk, VA, TJ was always loved by his family and many friends, as a Norfolk native, he represented the Norview area specifically Alexander St.

TJ graduated from Booker T. Washington High School. He worked primarily in the custodial industry. He was never afraid of hard work. He was so generous with his time, helping others while expecting minimal compensation. TJ 's love for God here on earth has led him to his path of inheritance in heaven.

TJ's loyalty surpassed that of the average person. His long-term relationship with Ashley Young proved to be an undeniable connection of love. All who interacted with TJ, knew him as the kindest spirit. He was a supportive and loving son, brother, uncle, cousin and friend. TJ was preceded in his entrance to heaven by his father Melvin Painter and his long-term partner Ashley Young. He survived by his mother Denise Painter, Sisters: Ericka Lancaster, Alicia Lancaster, and Latia Hastings, Brother-in law: Anthony Grayes, Niece: Shwanda Lancaster. Nephews: Deshawn Lancaster, Antonio Grayes, Kwontae Lancaster, Marquis Grayes, Khalil Lancaster and an abundance of aunts, uncles, cousin, great nephews and a host of friends.

On the 20th day of March 2025, the gates of Heaven opened for Torin "TJ" Painter and welcomed him with open arms. We rejoice as we give the highest honor and praise to our father God for clothing TJ in his garments of salvation.

Romans 8:18 states, "I consider that our present sufferings are not comparable to the glory that will be revealed in us,
