Thelma Smith Nichols Hood,91, passed on March 8, 2014. She was born in Lenoir County, NC. She retired from the Circuit Court of Norfolk. She was predeceased by a son, Rufus W. Hood, she was formally a member of First Calvary and New Covenant Fellowship Baptist Church and Eastern Star Excelsior Chapter # 82. Left to cherish her loving memory are daughters, Helen Hood-Batten(Matthew) Ruth Hood-Mason(Gilbert) and Sadie Hood-Deans, five grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, two sisters and three brothers, nieces and nephews and friends.
