Shirley was born in Alexandria Virginia, on October 17, 1941, to the late Robert Carroll Hawkins and Minerva Fayette Young Hawkins.  She leaves to cherish her memory, her loving children Darlene Sibley and John Martin, Michael Lewis and wife Ayana, caring grandchildren Michael, Cynthia, Waiters, Colleen, Dougie, Heath, Ashley and many great grandchildren, relatives and friends.
