Sheena Cumberland (nee Hutchinson), 65, passed away June 13. Born in Kingston, Jamaica on December 2, 1947, to the late Herbert Hutchinson and Melvena Myrie, she attended St. Georges Girl School and Convent of Mercy "Alpha" Academy. She worked for the Myrtle Bank Hotel where she met her husband Terrence Cumberland. They moved to the US Naval Base, GTMO Bay, Cuba, where they had two children. She worked for the Navy Exchange. They opened their home to other Jamaicans who where away from their families. In 2002, Terrence became ill, they left GTMO and moved to Norfolk, Va. In 2003 she began working for Portfolio Recovery, she enjoyed her work and made many friends. In 2008 her husband of 40 years passed away. In early 2011, she was diagnosed with cancer, but was full of life and continued to work, Early on June 13, she passed in her sleep. She lived bravely and was called to the other side by the Lord. She was loved dearly and will be greatly missed. Sheena is survuved by her children, Terrence Jr(Elaine) and Lisette(Ken); grandchildren Andre, Terrence, Jada, Kelise, and Kencaid; brothers Eddie and Norman; sisters, Morna, Janet, Alecia, and Sharon and many loving relatives and freinds.
