The Life of Sharon Denise Toney

Sharon Denise Toney was born to the late Eugene Edward Fleming Sr. and Lessie Mae Fleming on April 16, 1964. She departed this earthly life on Friday January 5, 2024. At an early age, Sharon accepted Jesus Christ. She loved the Lord and enjoyed attending The Mount Chesapeake on Sundays when her health permitted. She attended the annual Women Empowered Prayer Breakfast with Dr. Angela Corprew-Boyd Ministries and recently received her healing in the Ministry of Apostle Demonte Edmonds service. Sharon loved being a mother to her children. She was their first teacher and was an affectionate and compassionate mother. No matter the situation, she encouraged her children to seek Jesus. She was a cheerful giver to those in need with her time & money. Sharon was educated in the Norfolk Public School System and attended Granby High School. She had a heart for the sick and it was demonstrated by taking care of her family. She obtained her Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) credential and cared for several elderly patients. She volunteered to take care of her mother -in-love during her last stage of life. Sharon was preceded in life by her two brothers: Eugene Fleming Jr. and Timmy Fleming. She is survived by her husband Shawn Toney Sr; her children: Shawn Toney Jr. Tamera Rivers (Comiker Jr), Marta Jackson (Deville Sr.) and Shawnette Toney; her siblings, Norman Fleming, Charlene Williams, Wanda Stepney (Larry Sr), Antionette Fleming, Alvenia Fleming, Sandra Fleming Carter (Arthur ) Carl Fleming, Tony Fleming and Sanford Toney Jr. (Jacquitta); her grandchildren, Amiyah, Deville Jr. and Saniyah and a host of cousins, nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends.
