It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Saybot Layool Robertson on Monday April 28, 2025, a beloved son, a devoted brother, and passionate entrepreneur, who left us far too soon at the age of 20. Saybot, son of Monne Simpkins and Steve Robertson was born on November 7, 2004, in Norfolk, Virginia, he dedicated his life to caring for his family and pursuing his entrepreneurial dreams.
Saybot worked hard to achieve his education and proudly received his high school diploma, demonstrating his commitment to personal growth and self-improvement. This accomplishment was a testament to his determination and desire to build a better future for himself and his family.
With an entrepreneurial spirit, Saybot pursued various jobs and opportunities, always striving to learn and improve. He was a dedicated employee of Emmanuel Home Health Care Services as a loving caregiver and companion. He was also an ambitious day trader and drop shipper. He dedicated himself to understanding the intricacies of trading, often spending countless hours analyzing trends and patterns. He had a keen eye for market trends and a passion for learning, which he applied diligently to his ventures. Saybot found joy in sharing his knowledge and experiences with others.
Saybot was also known for his selflessness and commitment to taking care of his beloved mother, Monne Simpkins, who faced numerous health challenges. He devoted countless hours to ensuring her comfort and happiness, embodying the true meaning of unconditional love.
He also took on the role of primary caregiver for his two younger brothers, Daheninot (Day-Day) and Mailikawi (Kawi). He approached this responsibility with immense love and commitment, always prioritizing their needs and well-being. Saybot was a guiding light in their lives, offering support, encouragement, and wisdom. His nurturing spirit and protective nature will surely leave an indelible loving mark on their hearts.
Outside of Saybot being a loving caregiver, during his personal time he enjoyed watching anime, gaming and exciting days at the park riding roller coasters. His favorite anime shows were Blue Lock, Demon Slayer, Solo Leveling, and Jujitsu Kisen.
Saybot is survived by his father, (Steve), his three brothers, Raaye Robertson, Daheninot Robertson (Day-Day), and Malakawi Robertson (Kawi); His grandparents, Bobby and Cynthia Simpkins, as well as a host of beloved uncles, aunts, cousins, and family friends who will forever remember his kindness, generosity, and unwavering support.
His passing has left a profound impact on all who knew him, and it serves as a poignant reminder of the importance of mental health awareness and support. Saybot faced his own battles with mental health that he fought bravely. It is important to remember that mental health is a journey that warrants compassion, understanding and grace. His story is one of love and vulnerability, and we hope it encourages others in need to seek out support.
