Robert Chester Forrest died at the age of 77 on August 28, 2021 in Newport News, Virginia. He was born in Norfolk, Virginia on August 26, 1944 to Mrs. Idonia B. Forrest and Mr. Robert Forrest. He grew up in the Campostella area and was educated in the Norfolk Public School System. Robert lived life vicariously and on his own terms and was affectionately called "Uncle Rob" by most who knew him. Robert was funny, loving, and always very positive. Robert was preceded in death by his parents, and nine siblings from his father. Robert is survived by his sister, Idonia Handcox, special brother, Robert "Bobby" Whitaker, his nine children, Terri, Michelle, Julius, Sabrina, Shauntese, Idontae, Arveance, Rhonda and Pierre. He also leaves behind his nieces, Davia and Sheiana, twenty one grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, great-nieces, great-nephews and friends.
