Richard Lamont Cantey was born on May 7, 2001, in Norfolk, Virginia to Delzora Yvette Taylor and Edward Cantey Jr. Richard loved his family. He loved playing with his nieces, hanging with his brothers and sisters and making his mom and dad laugh. He was the life of the party and regularly keep everyone laughing with his jokes and smile. He was a great basketball player who loved traveling around the area playing with anyone and often winning games against older players. He was an avid gamer who would beat a game and post videos so others would follow and complete various games at the expert level. He was beginning his career as musician writing and recording songs, making music videos and performing at various local venues to packed crowds. Left to cherish his memory, his parents, Delzora and Edward, grandfather, Gregory Scott, siblings, Lakeyah Elanora Cantey, T'Keyah Delois Cantey, Edward Gregory Cantey, Isaiah Hassan Cantey, nieces, Ashtyn Jade Deloach, Kehlani Merl Cantey, great aunts, Mary Washington, Annie Elizabeth Caldwell, great uncles, Booker Washington, Steve Scott, Henderson Scott, aunts, Patricia Oliver, Julia Warrick, Monica Fulford, Dee Williams, Stephanie Williams-Thompson, Rosalyn Smith, Tymeshia Hill Mayo, and Robin Peterkin, uncles, Richard Oliver, Carey Fulford, Kofi Peterkin and Joseph Mayo and a host of loving relatives and friends.
