Radolph "Beebo" Fergus of Plymouth Montserrat passed away peacefully on Tuesday December 24th, 2024, five days before his 69th birthday.
He was the second child and second son of Anna and Edward (Ben) Fergus. Beebo was born and raised in St Peter's, Montserrat. He attended the local schools and attained 5 O'level passes at the Montserrat Secondary School.
He went on to work at the Montserrat Public Works Department for a few years before leaving that profession to undertake opportunities that would lead him away from a regular 9-5. He found his passion in building houses. He was very skilled at this profession, and this caught the eye of a visiting architecture from the U.S by the name of John Underwood. John took Beebo under his wings and in 1983, John invited him to migrate to the US to explore and expand his opportunities. Beebo was a giving person, and he shared his skills with those who wanted to learn. He did not hesitate to take them under his wings so that they too could develop the know-how and become successful at their craft. He loved music – his genre of music varied widely. There wasn't a time when you would visit and there wasn't some old Otis Redding or some Jimmy Cliff playing in the background, well except for when the Redskins were playing. That was his TEAM - do or die!
Beebo was proceeded in death by his parents. He leaves to mourn his children Jaselyn, Anderson and Corinthia. His grandchildren Jada, Andrea and Austin. He also leaves to mourn his siblings – his brother Lloyd and his family; his sisters Iselda, Adeline and Melisca and their families. Numerous cousins, nieces and nephews and many friends and acquaintances both here in the US and in Montserrat.
