Philemon Stephen Vinson, age 24, passed away on Thursday, August 18, 2022. He was born on October 22, 1997 to Jaime Vinson of Salisbury, NC, and Percy Banks of Lexington, NC. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, James Vinson, and Uncle Rufus Cuthrell.
Philemon was a husband, a father, a son, a brother, a nephew, a grandson, an uncle, and best friend. He was a person of many talents. He enjoyed drawing, and was an excellent athlete. His love for football started at a very young age, which led into his adulthood of playing semi-pro ball. His favorite football team was the New England Patriots. When Philemon wasn't playing football, he was in the studio showcasing his musical talents. Overall he was just a well liked person, a comedian in his own way. His personality was simply unmatched.
Philemon will be deeply missed, those left behind to honor his memory is his wife, Kaitlyn Vinson; parents, Jaime Vinson and Percy Banks; his three children whom he adored, Ivori Anthony, Nova Vinson, and Nasir Niles Vinson; siblings, Tiara Vinson, Zakiyyah Roberts, Briauna Simmons, Kiauna Simmons, Darwin Levon Banks, Na'Haven Monah Banks, Jaylan T. Javel Banks, Leondre Omeir Horne, Jaquesha Friday, and Brianna Tomlin; maternal grandmother, Shirley Vinson; paternal grandmother, Vivian Banks; aunts, Taijuan Cuthrell, Nevetta Banks, and Valerie Banks; uncles, Joseph Vinson, Mike Streater, and David Banks; niece, Ny'Teria Powell; nephew, Tristan Vinson; godparents, Debbie Hogan and Eric Steele; god brothers, Michael Young, and Tyree Steele. And a host of cousins that are more like siblings.
