Patrice Crawford-Harris (known to her family as Tricie) was born on October 6, 1961, in Buffalo, NY. She was one of four children born to Patricia Ann and Andrew Donald Crawford, Sr. She passed away peacefully April 15, 2020.

Tricie was a God-fearing Christian woman who loved her children with all her heart. With an entrepreneurial spirit and a love of all children, Tricie established a successful daycare business. Over time, she made a slight career change, and spent the past 7 years teaching in the Virginia Beach Public School System, and for Parks and Recreation. She was a favorite among students and staff!

Tricie was very involved in various church activities. She enjoyed mission trips, feeding hungry children, assisting with fundraisers, and working with the church youth. She also loved to cook and bake, and would often assist with the church potlucks. Her chocolate chip cookies were a staple for every family holiday! She also enjoyed crocheting, including hats for St. Jude's kids. Her children have a special memory of the beautiful blankets she made for each of them. With her sister, Tricie, was learning to speak French, and looked forward to visiting France, together.

Tricie's favorite Bible passage, 1 Corinthians 13, influenced how she lived her life. Specifically verse 4: "Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud." She was courageous, had a great since of humor, and was fun to be around. She was also generous and loving; a light in so many lives. Our lives will not be the same without her.

Tricie journeys from this life leaving her mom; sister, Alecia; brothers, Andy and Purnell; three sons Breyon, Jeffery Jr. and Patric; two daughters Jolie and Brittany; grandchildren, Jeffery III, Braxton, Zahavi, and Julian; and many nephews and nieces, who will surely miss her laughter and warm heart. She will be reunited with her dear dad and her precious granddaughter Aleyona, waiting for her in heaven.
