Neke Brown-Edwards, a cherished mother, grandmother, wife, and friend, passed away peacefully on December 10, 2025, in her hometown of Norfolk, Virginia. Born on October 22, 1970, she lived her life with an unwavering spirit that touched everyone she met.

Neke was a 1993 graduate of the Computer Dynamics Institute, where she earned an associate degree in Nursing as a Licensed Practical Nurse. Her dedication to caring for others was evident in both her professional and personal life. Known for her loving, big-hearted nature, she was a supportive and kind-spirited human being whose warmth and compassion left an indelible mark on the lives of her family and friends.

Neke is survived by her beloved husband, Alton Turner; her daughter, Nesha Brown; her son, Domonique Brown; and her grandsons, Tyree Berry and Domonique Brown Jr. She shares a deep and abiding love with a host of relatives and friends who will forever carry her memory in their hearts.

Neke was preceded in death by her parents, Juanita and Ray Brown. Their legacy of love and strength undoubtedly shaped the compassionate woman she became.

To honor Neke's life and the profound impact she had on those around her, a visitation will be held on December 26, 2025, at Riddick Funeral Service in Norfolk, Virginia, from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM. The following day, a funeral service will take place on December 27, 2025, at the same location, commencing at 12:00 PM, followed by burial at Forest Lawn Cemetery at 2:00 PM.

Neke Brown-Edwards will be remembered for her generous spirit, infectious smile, and the love she poured into every moment. Her presence will be deeply missed but her spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
