On November 1, 2023, the Lord spoke and said. " Well done, thy good and faithful servant" and called home our beloved mother, aunt, grandmother, great grandmother, great great grandmother and friend. Mildred Elizabeth Wilkerson Lambert was born in Newport News, Virginia to the late Deborah E. Wilkerson.  She has fond memories of her brother Joseph Wilkerson and her half-brother Spencer Stewart both deceased. She was also predeceased by her loving husband of 45 years, Dockery Lambert Jr. Mildred was a lifetime member of Shiloh Baptist Church where she faithfully served on the Food and Kitchen Ministry, Stewardship Ministry, Hospitality Ministry, the Senior Choir and a member of the Shell Bible Class. Educated in the Norfolk Public School System, Mildred was a graduate of Booker T. Washington (BTW) High School. She graduated from Virginia State College (now) Virginia State University of Petersburg, Virginia with a BS in Elementary Education and a Masters of Education from Columbia University, New York, NY. Mildred taught 4 years in the Richmond County School System and 35 years in the Norfolk Public School System. She retired from teaching in 1990. Her community affiliations includes: Life member of the District L. Retired Teacher Association; Original Organizers of Norfolk Chapter Les Gemmes Inc., Phi Delta Kappa Inc., Member of the Alpha Lambda Chapter Cross Country Social Club, NAACP Member, Lifetime Member of Norfolk State University Alumni Association, and was very active with her B.T.W. Class of '47. She leaves to cherish her loving memory two daughters: Patricia L. Callis, Dolly Leigh Deans, and three sons: Dockery Lambert III and his wife, Audrea, Lawrence Eric and her son Clarence Lee Lambert.  Nine grandchildren: Kitrina Harper, Maurice Martin Jr. Christopher Graham, Delilah Deans, Leslie Lambert, Dockery Marcel Lambert, Nicholas Harvey, Clarence B. Lambert and Mariyauna B. Lambert and 7 Great Grandchildren: Jakalen Fells, Jemele Timothy Harper, Trinity Rose Martin, Javier Graham, Ainsleigh Graham, Maddox Ronan, and Emily Harper as well as Great Great Grand: Soriah Graham and numerous Nieces, Nephews and cousins. She also leaves behind her gentleman friend Mr. Otis Jackson
