Michelle Regina Dickens affectionately known as "Shelly" was born in Chestnut Hill Hospital in Philadelphia  on July 7, 1970, she was the oldest of five children born to Jaqueline Dickens, her father Michael Lankford and sister Agene Ore preceded her in death. Raised by her late grandmother Catherine Dickens, and aunt Anne Dickens, Shelly received her education in Norfolk, Virginia Public School Systems, Roberts Park Elementary and Lake Taylor High School. Because of her compassion, Shelly worked as a CNA for Chesapeake General Hospital, DePaul Hospital, Consulate Healthcare of Norfolk and Beth Shalom. Shelly was blessed with one daughter Chavelle D. Dickens and two sons, Johnny and Michael Dickens. Left to cherish her memory, her mother, her children, nine grandchildren, brothers Antoine, Eric(Tanya), sister Carla, special aunts, uncles, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends
