Our Loving Marva Yvonne Keyser went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, September 23, 2023. Marva was the daughter of Sidney and Bernice James. She was raised in the Lamberts Point Section of Norfolk, VA and educated in Norfolk Public Schools. She attended Thomas Nelson Community College where she received an Associate degree in Applied Science in Nutrition. She then went on to receive a bachelor's degree in nutrition counseling from Lacrosse University.

Marva was married to Donald R. Keyser for 53 years. Together as husband and wife they had three children: Valerie Keyser-Williams (Cornell), Donald R. Keyser, Jr. (Cynthia), and Natasha Keyser (Lance). They are blessed with four grandchildren: Cornell Williams, Jr. {fondly known as C.J.} (Ashley), Chelsea Keyser, Ashley Keyser(Makenzie) and Joey Stacy. Marva was also blessed with five great grandchildren: Talia, Caden, Carter, Cairo and Mattis. Left to cherish her memories are four sisters-in-law and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Marva was preceded in death by her husband Donald R. Keyser, her parents, Sidney and Bernice James, and brothers: Sidney James, Jr., Clarence James, and Johnny James. Missing her dearly are two close friends: Gloria Hill (Pee Wee) and Teresa Jones.

Along with her husband, her church affiliation was with St. Mark RZUA in Norfolk, VA. She later joined True Vine Church in Newport News, VA. While attending her new church home she became a member of the church's choir. Marva loved to sing and shared her beautiful voice. Marva loved her family, traveling, dancing, cooking and having FUN!
