Marlowe Jermain Benton transitioned to his Heavenly Home on May 11, 2022. He was born on December 13, 1971, in Portsmouth, VA. He is predeceased by his father John Pete Perdue Jr., his maternal grandparents Luther C. and Dollie Hayes Benton, and his paternal grandparents John Sr. and Ruth Ellen Perdue. He leaves to cherish his memory his devoted wife, Sharronna Benton; three daughters Akira Jewel (Monroe, GA) Trinity Rozycki, and Meyah Benton ( Virginia Beach) three sons, Keesean, Percell and Jayson Lawton (Virginia Beach) a special daughter Jessica Rozycki (Virginia Beach) a special son Robert Richardson (New York) Tajael Brown (Norfolk) granddaughter Reyna Royce; his mother Dollie Benton Robinson; sister Tonya Benton Corley (Gavin) two brothers Coleman E. Benton (Charlene) and Lamont Mitchell. Marlowe lived in Norfolk in 1974 and then moved to Virginia Beach in 1986. He received his GED in Virginia Beach in 1989. He was a jack of all trades, but his best trade was Landscaping. Since a very young age Marlowe did lawn care for the elderly in nearby neighborhoods. He then began to travel for work along the east coast and no job was too small. Marlowe had a deep passion for nature and science. He could tell you about most plants growing on the east coast. He loved the weather, but the storms were his favorite. Nature was his peace and relaxing place. He loved to watch God paint the sky in the early mornings and late evenings. Marlowe had a smile that could cast away anyone's bad day. When Marlowe spoke to people, he spoke to their spirit, the love was felt completely through their body. He had a deep spiritual relationship with God. He appreciated everything God created for us here on Earth and truly believed that God made everything we need to heal ourselves. Marlowe surrendered his self to God officially in November 2021. He enjoyed family events and holidays. The family will miss his guessing of the Christmas present; he had a talent for guessing the gift and was always right. He enjoyed making his family laugh and feel good, oh how he will be missed. He truly loved his Wife and children.
