On Saturday October 19 2013 an Angel of the Lord carried our loving mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, great grandmother and best friend to eternal rest. When the Master called Marion Ruth Johnson, 83,transistioned peacefully into Paradise. " Mompee" as she was affectionately called was predeceased by her husband, Arthur T. Johnson III and her son Kevin " Jimmy" Johnson. She retired from Norfolk Public Schools after many years of service as a dietician. She was a devoted member of Basilica of St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and served on the Eucharistic and Bereavement Ministry, and the Justice and Peace Committee. Ruth enjoyed life, she was especially proud of her family, where she spent years entertaining her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is survived her a daughter Michele Logan(Sammie Jr.) sons, Arthur Graige Johnson(Angelus) Michael Johnson ( Phyllis) and Dwight Johnson (Mable) and her brother James Boyd Jr and godson Arthur Devon- Majarome, and seven grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren
