On Saturday, May 4, 2013, our gracious Heavenly Father called into eternal rest our loved one Margie P. Watson. She was 85 years old and resided in Norfolk, VA. Margie peacefully passed away while surrounded by her family. She was born on June 15, 1927 in Fairmont, NC. to the late Baston and Lula Pittman. During her early years, Margie was a member of First Baptist Church of Fairmont, NC. Prior to her passing, she was an active member of Bethel Baptist Church in Norfolk, VA for over 40 years. Margie faithfully served in the church choir and in other capacities. She was also an active member of Emma Laura #536 of the United Order of Tents. Margie was a loving and devoted homemaker who enjoyed caring for her family. She was a woman of many talents who enjoyed cooking, traveling and caring for others. She captured the hearts of all her relatives and friends. Margie was employed by the Goldblatt family for more than 25 years. Margie leaves to cherish her memory a son, Stanley M. Watson of Norfolk, VA; two brothers, Reverend Raymond Pittman (Dorothy) of Norfolk, VA and Bailey Pittman (Viola) of Fairbluff, NC; a sister, Nevater White of Chesapeake, VA;granddaughters, Benita W. Jones of Virginia Beach, Va and Alecia R. Watson of Alexandria, Va., a great grandson Christian Jones of Virginia Beach, Va. and a former daughter-in- law, Joyce A. Watson-Sanja of Virginia Beach, Va and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends who loved her dearly. "O Death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory?"
