Marcel Arthur Wilson Norfolk - Marcel Arthur Wilson, 94 born August 22, 1926 in Norfolk, VA passed away March 6, 2021. He was the widower of Virginia Bell Wilson to whom he was married 49 years. He was the son of the late Rosa and George Wilson Sr. He was preceded in death by his brothers George Wilson Jr, and Stanley Wilson.

Marcel was raised in Norfolk and served in the United States Navy.  He retired from Norfolk Naval Base as a Civil Service Employee in 1988 after almost 42 years of service.  After retiring he was then employed by Hertz Car Rental for 24 years until 2012 and volunteered at the Food Bank of Southeastern Virginia.  Marcel was a faithful and devoted member of St John A.M.E. Church for over 70 years.

He is survived by his 3 children; Marvin Wilson (Pam) of Arlington, Texas; Veeta Mitchell (Min Robert) of Chesapeake, VA; and Vernita White (Keith) of Riverdale, Georgia. His grandchildren include 4 grandsons Malerick Wilson (Natasha), Marlon Wilson, Justin Mitchell (Vivian), Shelton Mitchell (Keesha) and 3 granddaughters Raequi and Marchavis Wilson and Kimberly Walters (Lloyd) as well as great and great-great grandchildren.
