Lynnette Hodges-Jackson was born on May 2, 1961 to Anna Mae Boone and Fred
Hodges(preceded in death), in Suffolk Va.
Lyn as she was best known, graduated from Crosby High School in Waterbury CT. Shortly
thereafter serving in the United States Army for eight-years receiving an honorable discharge.
Lynn worked for Goodman, Allen & Donnelly attorneys at law, as an elite paralegal case
manager, ensuring veterans received all entitled benefits.
Lynn was a loving mother and grandmother. As the matriarch she worked hard to make sure her
babies were well provided for. Through life, Lynette carried herself with dignity and strength.
She touched the lives of so many with her unwavering faith and ability to meet people where
they're at in life, showing them genuine acceptance, with the ability to hold them accountable for
their actions without judgment. Which often encouraged people to believe in one's self & their
abilities to accomplish their desire, no matter how big or small. Everyone who met my mother
was blessed by her presence. Her ability to take any situation, good or bad and help lighten the
moment, made her a hero in that moment.
Grandparents Wilson and Rose Boone and two siblings Donald and Brenda went to prepare the
road and greet her during her transition,
She is survived by Ebony Rose Hopkins (daughter), Damien Ja ‘Quan, Ky ‘Lee Lynette, and Da
‘Vonna Annette (grandchildren), Sisters: Angela Smith (Frank), Nita Hodgess-Rhinehart (),
Seretha Hodges, Redell Gwenn Lewis, Bridgettte Hodges-Leonard, Stephanie Hodges,
Brothers: Fred (Lisa)and Anthony Hodges and a host of nieces, nephews, grandnieces and
nephews.
