Mr. Leroy Parker Sr. was born on February 13, 1941, in Corapeake, North Carolina, to the late Mr. Ernest Parker and Mrs. Ethel Parker. On Wednesday, June 17, 2026, he peacefully departed this life at Sentara Obici Hospital. Leroy was a devoted father, grandfather, and friend whose life was marked by hard work, dedication, and a love for his family and community. He enjoyed spending time fishing and hunting and found great joy in coaching little league football, where he positively impacted the lives of many young people. Leroy also had a passion for gardening and was recognized by the City of Suffolk for his outstanding home garden. In addition to his parents, Leroy was preceded in death by his beloved son, Gregory Parker; his cherished sister, Essie May Morrison; and his brothers, Samuel Smith Sr., Clyde Smith, Charlie Parker Sr., and George Parker. He leaves to cherish his precious memories his loving children, Leroy Parker Jr. (Wanda), Bonnie Scott, and Sheila Stallings (Kelly); his grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and dear friends who will forever hold him in their hearts. Though he has departed from this earthly life, Leroy's legacy of love, wisdom, and dedication will continue to live on through all who knew and loved him.
