Lamarr Antoine Gilbert born  June 8, 1975  was called home to the Lord on  February 14, 2022 . Lamarr was born  to the late Charles L. Gilbert and Deborah A. Gilbert in San Diego, California. Lamarr was known by his family and friends as "Tree". He was a loving husband, father, brother, and son.  He was resilient through all adversity and always supportive  and generous towards his loved ones. His father Charles Gilbert, Sr. preceded him in death. Lamarr received his education in Norfolk, VA at James Monroe Elementary, Campostella Middle School, and Granby High School. He worked in the food industry and enjoyed watching his favorite team, the Dallas Cowboys. Lamarr is survived by his wife, Tinika Gilbert, his son Lamarr Gilbert, Jr, his daughter Catianna Pettaway, his grandson Zi'ale Collins, his mother Deborah Gilbert, his brother Charles Gilbert II, his sister Sakinah Abdus-Salaam, his niece Cheyenne Gilbert, aunt  Dornella Wade and  many loving relatives and friends.
