Jesse "Butch" Roosevelt Lindsey, Jr., was born October 16, 1953. He succumbed to illness on August 29, 2013. He was an alumnus of Booker T. Washington High School. He was preceded in death by his father, Jesse R. Lindsey, Sr. He is survived by his loving mother, Florence Elizabeth Boone Lindsey; brothers: Curtis (Angela) and Antonio; sisters: Lilly (Lester), Phyllis (Leslie), Sheila (Henry), Gwen (John), Cora (Bobby), Sharon (Charles) and Robin (John); a host of nieces and nephews as well as other relatives and friends. Visitation will be from 2 - 6 pm on Wednesday, September 4 at Riddick Funeral Service located at 1225 Norview Avenue, Norfolk. A funeral service will be held Thursday, September 5 at 1:00 pm at the Riddick Funeral Service Chapel. Interment will immediately follow the service at Woodlawn Cemetery in Norfolk.
