IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Jesse Marvin
Hill
September 14, 1950 – April 27, 2020
I have fought a good fight,
I have finished my course,
I have kept the faith
2 Timothy 4:7
Jesse Marvin Hill beloved son, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and cousin answered Gods call on April 27, 2020. He was born in Norfolk, Virginia to the late Walter Hill Sr., and the late Reva White Hill. He was predeceased by his brother Walter Hill, Jr. Jesse was baptized at an early age. He joined Bethel Baptist Church in Norfolk, Virginia under the pastoring of Rev. Dr. Jesse E. Arrington. Jesse attended Bettie F. Williams Elementary School and Union Kempsville High School. In later years, he enrolled in the Job Corp, his health prevented him from further studies. God gave Jesse a very special talent as being an artist. He had the ability to look at a person or an object and sketch its likeness. It was truly a gift from God. Jesse never complained about anything. He was very humble, loving, caring, helpful, kind, and he never met a stranger. He leaves to cherish his fond memories, daughter Angel Williams, one granddaughter, two grandsons, one great granddaughter, three sisters, Edna Yates (Thomas Yates deceased) Audrey Hill, and Patricia A. Powell, nieces, nephews, great nephews, great nieces, and a host of cousins and friends.
Sometimes its hard to understand, why certain things must be,
but there is a reason for everything, beyond our power to see.
God saw the road was getting rough, the hills too hard to climb,
So he gently closed his weary eyes
And whispered "Peace Be Thine"
