James Thomas Craig known to most as "Craig" or "Thomas" peacefully transitioned into eternal rest on August 30, 2025. James was born on March 5, 1947 to the late Bethel Craig in Bertie County, North Carolina, he was predeceased by his wife Gloria Jean Craig on August 6, 2022, and four brothers, Lewis Craig, Norman Craig, Charles Lester Gilliam and James Williams Jr.; two sisters, Bessie Mae Williams and Virginia Brooks on March 10, 2015.  James was awarded five medals for his service in the Vietnam War, he was a "Jack of all Trades" and an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan, and had a superb memory for birthdays. James leaves behind a loving family to cherish his memory; his daughter Angela Craig, son Joseph Craig (Joann) sisters, Rosa Mae Allen of Bronx, New York, Mozella Harrell of Ahoskie, North Carolina, grandchildren, Shaquita Craig, KeVaughn Craig, Domonic Craig, Monica Roberts (Cordaro) and Jarrod Mc Daniels. James was a dedicated and proud great – granddad to Myseyah, Mark, Cordaro, Colby, Imari, Nia and Armani, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends, who will truly miss him dearly.
