Jackson Junious Bennett passed away unexpectedly on February 8, 2026, he was born September 1, 1929 in Corapeake, N.C. He was the son of Blackwell J. Bennett and Almeter K. Bennett. He was preceded in death by his wife, Arleitha Bennett. He graduated from I.C. Norcom High School, after graduation he enlisted in the US Navy, he later retired from the Norfolk Naval Air Station. Jack as he was called, was a kind and generous individual. He was a dedicated radio man, who enjoyed traveling the world with family and friends. His favorite hobbies were gardening, bowling, taking phots and solving cross-word puzzles. Jack is survived by three sisters, Nevonne Stringfellow, Mildred Payne and Mary Gibson and a brother Judge Arthur T. Bennett (Josephine) a niece, Camille Gibson, Rita Wilkins, great niece, Shari Wilkins and nephew, Alvin Bennett (Vivian) along with extended family and friends. We will greatly miss our brother and he will remain in our hearts forever.
