Quietly and peacefully on Monday morning January 21, 2019, Evangelist Ida Bell Carney transitioned from earth to glory. She was preceded in death by her husband of over 50 years, Deacon Fred Carney and sons, Johnny and Fred Jr. She founded and pastored Fountain of Life, and faithfully served several pastors and churches, namely the COGIC and New Life Worship Center. She served as the Elect-Lady and State Evangelist of the VA 2nd Jurisdiction COGIC. She was also an entrepreneur and community solvent founding businesses to take in the homeless and adults with special needs. She leaves to cherish her memory seven children, Clifton (Valarie), Larry (Cynthia), Carl, Michael and Linda Carney, Angie Willoughby, Barbara (Bishop Carl) Vann and Phyliss McLean, 11grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren; two sisters Carrie Lee Jones and Ravie Stevens; three brothers, Wilbert, Hector and Toney McNair.
