Gerald Wayne Peguese entered into eternal rest on February 21, 2016 in Danville,Va. Gerald was born on December 19, 1954 to Irene Peguese Morring and the late Fred Peguese Sr. Gerald gave his life to Christ at an early age, he enjoyed spiritual music and spending time praising God in his own way. He was a very pround man and willingly gave to others in need. He enjoyed family gatherings and always being the one to make us smile with his witty disposition. He was kind and patient and did his best to provide and protect his family. He loved deeply and always showed compassion for others. Gerald enjoyed life and lived it fully, he graduated from Norview High School and served our country in the US Army. He worked various jobs in Norfolk and Danville. He worked for over 20 years for Diamond Warehouse until his illness. His favorite past time was landscaping, working on cars, fishing, cooking and all sports. In addition to his father and the devoted mother of his children, Georgia Broadnax, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Clinton and Carl Peguese, also a niece Meshell Cartwright. Left to cherish his memory, sons, Michael J. of Ft. Jackson, Jermaine of Danville, daughter, Jackie of Norfolk, and one grandchild Jia. His loving mother Irene Peguese Morring, brothers, Fred(Loretta) Peguese,Jr of Va Beach, Alonza (Patricia) Peguese Sr. of Norfolk, sisters, Ruby Solomon of Durham and Joyce (Clarence) Grimes of Raleigh, NC; a very special life friend and loving caregiver during his illness, Wendy Coles of Danville and a host of nieces,nephews as well as many family members and friends.
