Obituary

Fred Harris born on January 9, 1958 in Jackson, Mississippi. As a young child his family moved to New York, where he attended school and worked as a gourmet cook, hospital attendant and other odd jobs until he moved to Virginia. He then began his career as a licensed, certified Security Officer for the State of Virginia. He loved his work and dedicated his life to protect others. He loved the Lord and was an active member of Bethany Pentecostal Holiness Church of Christ located in Va Beach and was on the Deacon Board, the Choir and the Church Trustee Board. Fred was employed with G4S and Top Guard Security for a span of over 17 years. He was an avid fisherman and loved sight seeing, loved jigsaw puzzled, but when he got his first playstation games, the jigsaw puzzles went out the window. He was a walking history book. He could speak "spoken word" better than Jay-Z could ever rap. He was known by Chocolate, Knee Baby, Big Man, Handsome, and by his wife, Honey Bunny. He had a great love for family and was a true mamas boy, whom he loved dearly. Fred was a devoted husband and pushover for his grandchildren. He was known as a prankster and a fun loving guy, but yet loved by many. He proved his love by his deeds and sacrifices to insure his family was provided with all their needs and then some until, the day God took him home. God Blessed him the day he was born and God blessed him the day he took him to Glory. He was predeceased by his father, Tommie Lee Harris and brother George Harris. Fred is survived by his wife of 17 years, Alice Harris and his mother Mary Harris, a son, James Pree and daughters Arica Bonner(Terry) and Lisa Pree, 5 granddaughters, 2 grandsons and 1 great grandson, sisters Willie Mae Burnett(Percy) and Jean Ella Reynolds, brothers, Tommie Lee Harris Jr, Clyde(Doris) Mack Arthur Harris and Bobby Leon Harris(Shirley) Joe Londell Harris and Kenneth Earl Harris and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends
