Mrs. Elois Bates Ferebee was born to the late Floyd and Daisy on August 25, 1920. Elois Bates Ferebee 94, slipped into eternal rest on the late evening of Tuesday, March 17 at Norfolk Health Care and Rehabilitation Center. Elois was a graduate of Booker T. Washington High School in the class of 1938. She was a member of First Calvary Baptist Church and worshiped during the early morning service. She lived in Berkley and was very active in the civic league and she loved the Southside Seniors of which she was a member. Elois is a retired employee of Norfolk Public Schools. She was predeceased by her husband William Ferebee, parents, Floyd and Daisy Bates, seven sisters and two brothers. She leaves to mourn, loving nieces and nephews. Aunt Lois had extraordinary care givers at home who took excellent care of her: The Davis Family, Tammy, LaVerne, Carolyn, and Yetta: a great-great niece, Candace and a great niece Delores. Also the family is extremely pleased with the extraordinary care she received at Norfolk Health Care and Rehabilitation .
