Dorothy McCoy affectionately known as "Petey" transitioned on Sunday December 20, 2020. Dorothy was born on June 29, 1937 in New York City to the late Arthur Samuel Smith and Julia Virginia Smith. She attended Princess Anne County Training School in Virginia Beach and was employed as a domestic worker for the owners of Sacks & Sacks Law Firm for 22 years until her retirement. Dorothy gave the best of her life with her love to her daughter and her grandchildren. She is best known for her love of shopping and jewelry, and enjoyed cooking, and gardening, she really had a "green thumb" . She also loved to read and watch her favorite game show "Jeopardy". Dorothy "Petey" McCoy is preceded in death by her husband Deacon James McCoy of 45 years. She leaves to cherish her memory, daughter, Pamela Brown (Eric) grandsons, Brian, Michael, Johnathan and Shaquille, granddaughters, Erica and Tamia; great grandson; Christopher, brothers, Richard Smith Sr. (Marion) and Howard Smith (Georgia) and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends that will keep her memory
