Dorothy Graham, affectionately known as "Dot", "Aunt Dot" to many, and "Ma-Dukes" to some" went home to be with the Lord on 12/31/2022 at age 82. Dorothy was born to Richard Wescott and Beadie Hunter on January 25, 1940, in Bronx, New York. Dorothy graduated from Morris High School in Bronx, New York in 1958. In 1959, she married her High School sweetheart, the late William Graham. They had three children, Darlene Graham, Willie William Graham, and Eluid Donnell Graham.

She had strong affiliations to her family church (The Holy Tabernacle Church) in New York, New York. Dorothy was very close knit to her family and friends alike. She was a pillar in her community and always opened her doors to people in need. She loved to cook large meals contemplating on feeding, her family, friends, and even the homeless. Dorothy was very sociable, and enjoyed playing cards with friends, most notably with Carrie and Rosalyn.

Dorothy worked in the social services arena in Bronx, New York until she relocated to Virginia Beach, Virginia in 1984, where she began employment supervising in the customer service department in Macy's, where she retired in 2008. After her retirement, she remained a pillar in her community as she continued to work part-time for veterans' services.

Dorothy is predeceased by her husband: William Graham, mother: Beadie Hunter, father: Richard Wescott, Sister: Gloria Sinclair, brothers: Walter and James Wescott, Sr, and son: Willie William Graham.

She is survived by her brother: Wayne Wescott, Sister Beverly Wescott, children:  Darlene and Eluid Donnell Graham, Grandchildren: Donnell and Derek Livingston, Christine Byfield, Alicia Sinclair-Chavis, Donnell Platt, Ta'nell Platt, Donnie Graham, Great-Grandchildren: Danielle and Heavyn Livingston, Anthony, Christian, Michael, and Tyler Byfield, Malik Sinclair, Deonta Jarell Jackson, and Amani Livingston. Godson: Robert Brunson, Daughter in law: Sharon Livingston, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.

The family would like for you to know that while Dorothy will be dearly missed, she would want everyone to know that she enjoyed life and fought a good fight, but she was tired and wanted to go home.  Remember her for what she meant to you, and how she made you feel.  Think of her often, smile, and say "Well Done"
