Dorothy "MA MA Dot" Boyd, 93, entered into eternal peace on June 24, 2014, she was born Jan 2, 1921 to the parents of Susie and Bruce Mercer. She was educated in the Moyock NC School System, Dorothy workerd for the Norfolk Navy Exchange and retired after 17 years of service. She was preceded in death by her husband, George W. Boyd Sr., son, Floyd Jones and siblings, Martha Edwards, Edna Jordan, John, James and William Mercer. She leaves to her memory, daughters, Vernell Lawson, Carolyn Boyd, Brenda Boyd and a son George Boyd(Carolyn) a sister, Myrtle Polite and a special friends, Barbara Jones and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends.
