Mrs. Dolores Robinson Johnson of Norfolk departed this life peacefully on Saturday August 16, 2014. She was the oldest of five children: Mrs. Joan Hamilton, Dr. James Robinson (Sandy), Mr. Ronald Robinson, and Mr. Rolfe Robinson. A retired nurse, Dolores impacted the lives of many people in Hampton Roads. She is survived by her only daughter (Dr. Winifred Phillips [Fred]), two grandchildren (Dr. Vanessa Sheppard [Earle] and Mrs. Vene Artis [Gury]), five great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, her life-long best friend Lula Lewis, and a host of family and friends. Dolores was preceded in death by her parents Mrs. Lavene Robinson Holley and Mr. James Robinson, her grandson Jonathan R. Payton, and her niece Valerie Claude. A celebration of life service will be held on Friday, August 22, 2014 at 12:00 pm at First Baptist Church Lamberts Point, 1268 W 38th St, NorfolkVA23508.
