Deborah Renee Smith , our beloved sister, aunt, and friend was called home to be with the Lord on Sunday, December 4, 2022.  She passed away peacefully, surrounded by loved ones.

Deborah , aka Debbie, was born on April 3, 1960, in Los Angeles, CA to the late Dumas and Gloria Lyles Smith.  The family settled in Virginia upon her fathers' retirement from the Navy.

Debor ah graduated in the top 10 ^th of her class at Norfolk Catholic High. After some college and joining the Airforce Reserves, she became a paralegal specialist at Naval Amphib Base Little Creek. Deborah retired after 33 years in civil service and was highly regarded by many at the US District Court, Norfolk VA.

Deborah's beautiful smile, laughter, liveliness, and sense of humor brought joy to many of us.  She enjoyed playing the guitar, dancing, running, and having a good time.  Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her beloved pets.

Deborah leaves to cherish her memories: one sister, Consuella McCloud; one niece, Consuella Sims: one nephew, Dumas McCloud; one great-niece, Consuella Dye; two great-nephews, Michael Heard Jr and Justin Cayce; one great-great nephew, Malakai Heard and

a host of other relatives and friends.
