Christopher Arthur Harper of Norfolk Virginia went home to be with the Lord on March 12, 2025.

Chris was born on November 22, 1972, in Warren, Ohio. Chris attended Blake business school in New York, where he studied to become a medical assistant. This is where he met his beloved wife Deion Aleana Harper on April 6, 1995. After completion of the program, he worked for a medical assistant for about a year and a half and then pursued a job opportunity at the World Trade Center with a company called ABM, as an environmental services aide.

Chris and Deion began a family of their own in January 2000 and had a son De'Andre Christopher Harper. After the World Trade Center bombing in September 2001, Chris decided to pursue his dream to join the Navy. Chris  enlisted in the Navy in November of 2001.

Chris was a US Navy veteran and traveled around the world- to places like Greenland, Argentina, Uruguay, Chile, and his favorite place, that he constantly spoke about Panama. He always said he wanted to move out there to live.

Chris was a homebody; he really didn't like to go anywhere. He loved to read and learn (history). He loved movies, especially Horror (including anything with Zombies). He loved to read Comic Books- which he has several of around the house and looked to get more. He also loved to and talk about his friends and family.

Chris was preceded in death by his parents Chester Boone and Lelia Harper. His brother Keith Dawson and his baby girl Brittany Denise May.

Chris leaves to cherish his memory his wife Deion Aleana Ryan-Harper and sons Dmarko Christopher Harper and DeAndre Christopher Harper, his older brother brother Charles Boone II and older sister Danielle Pettiford. 4 grandchildren Janiya Jordan, Jalaya, Jay'Mar, and Jamaya Hugley and a host of nieces and nephews.

The family of Christopher Arthur Harper would like to express sincere thanks and deepest appreciation to all of our friends who shared in our moment of grief, and also thank you for all your prayers, love, concern and support during this time of bereavement.

May God continue to keep you in his ever-loving arms.
