Charles A. Lawson was born on January 6, 1942 to the late Eugene and Helen Lawson. Charles attended Norfolk Public Schools and went on later to work for a private contractor as a machinist. In 1985, he work with his son Charles Jr. at Lawson and Lawson Janitorial as a floor technician. he was married to Joyce A. Toussaint and from that union, they had three children, Roslyn Denise Lawson Wilson, Charles L. Lawson Jr. and the late Marvin J. Lawson. Charles is also the father of Charlene and Sheila. Charles recently accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as his savior, and attended Heartland Hospice Church Services. His memory is cherished by his daughters and son, Roslyn D. Lawson Wilson, Sheila Simmons and Charlene McClease , Charles Lawson Jr.  and sisters Virginia, Denise, and Diane and a brother Clarence (Rosa) 10 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
