Catrina Edwards December 26, 1950 - October 13, 2024, it is with deep sorrow that we share the news of Catrina Edwards' passing. She was born to Albert and Hermine Rozar in New London Connecticut, then raised in Norfolk, Virginia, and was a beloved sister to Vaughn Rozar, who all preceded her in death. Catrina is also preceded in death by husband George F. Edwards her eldest son Jamahal K. Rozar, and just over a month ago, her only daughter and youngest of her children Ahlilah N. Edwards also Ahlilah's only son Qualik Edwards. She is survived by her youngest son Haji A. Edwards. Her devotion as a mother is visible in the lives her kids lead and their kids who she cherished so much. She loved being a grandmother and bragged about all of her grandkids all the time. Kiara Taylor, Ra'Quan Taylor, Aminah Rozar, Taliyah (TeeTee) Stephenson, Tristan Edwards, Braelyn Edwards, Geyonni(Tink) Watson, Aniyah (Gucho) Watson, Liana Edwards, and Aviana Edwards will all miss her. She embraced her great-grands too; Caiden Wallace, Camden Wallace, and Layton Taylor. Throughout her life she was a caregiver, a wife, a great mother, and an accomplished professional. After attending Norfolk State University, she worked for the government and later in life, retail. To no surprise, what she missed the most was healthcare, being a caregiver for others. Catrina devoted herself to others, especially her family. Her fiesty personality, combined with her genuine kind heart, made her not only a reliable friend but also someone who would always hold you down. In recent times, she focused on treasuring moments spent with family above all else. Catrina will be profoundly missed by all who knew her—family and friends alike—remembering her for the spunk she exuded while with her. She was a firecracker. Her legacy of love, resilience, and determination to put family first will forever resonate in the hearts of those privileged enough to have known her.
