Carolyn Ann Faison Brown, affectionately known as "Kitty" to the family passed away peacefully on June 30, 2015 at home. She was born in Norfolk, Virginia to the late Harry Tabb and Mattie Celine Sheppard Tabb on January 6, 1929. An excellent student, Carolyn received her education at Booker T. Washington High School, in Norfolk, Virginia where she tutored Algerbra to her fellow students. Another great love of Carolyn was going to the thrift store and taking care of ill people, she was a good mother and ran a tight household. She was a faithful servant of Jehovah for over 55 years and often talked about her life of pioneering and being one of Jehovah Witnesses. She looked forward to attending and participating in all activities and assemblies with her spiritual sisters and brothers. Her faithfulness as one of Jehovah's Witnesses was evident by her fervent zeal for the truth. Having pioneered for several years, she taught countless individuals her faith in the Bibles promises which includes, When Jehovah God Will wipe out every tear from their eyes and death will be no more, Revelations 21:3,4. Carolyn endured to the end and is safe in Jehovahs loving memory- Matthew 10:22 and MArk 13:13. She was preceded in death her husband James Wm. Faison Sr and Richard Brown, along with her daughter, Angela L. Faison; her sisters Geraldine Drew and Marian Sheppard and brother Vernon Tabb. She leaves a lifetime of love and memories with her 8 children;5sons; James Wm. Jr.,(Beverly)George, Randy(Anna)Victor, and Kelvin Faison all of Norfolk,VA 3 daughters, Gail E. Lover(Ronald) of Houston Texas, Sylvia Gilliams and Wanza Hunter (Donald) of Norfolk,VA 39 grandchildren, 40 great grandchildren and 8 great-great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
