Arthur Lee Johnson was born on February 1, 1980 and gained his heavenly wings on February 26, 2022.

He is the son of Debra and Norman Latimer. Arthur attended Deep Creek High School and also Commonwealth Challenge program in Virginia Beach, trying to focus on making a better life for himself.  He was affectionately known as "Big Art" and was employed by Mid Atlantic Cable as a line technician. He also spent many years as a maintenance repairman for different complexes. Arthur also started his own lawn care business at one point in his life.

Art had the opportunity to travel thru his previous job to places like Washington DC, Atlanta GA, Florence SC and Massanutten, VA. He was security for many friends (lol) and a gentle giant to the ladies.  Art was who you called if you needed a helpful hand in moving or assistance with repairing a car. He was the man to call.

He was a former member of Mount Carmel Baptist Church where he was baptized and served with the youth ministry in many capacities including Vacation Bible School, Sunday School, BTU Congress in Lynchburg, Youth Usher, and security for the summer tent revivals.

He was predeceased by his namesake Grandparents, Roddie Lee and Arthaola D. Johnson; Grandmother Dorothy Latimer; Uncles Roddie L. Johnson, Jr. & Richard Latimer; and Aunt Marilyn Haynes.

Arthur leaves to cherish his many wonderful memories, his parents Norman and Debra Latimer; Sister Regina Latimer, who will forever miss her big brother; Sister-Cousin & partner in crime Recita Battle-Cherry (Lamont); Nephew Raijon D. Latimer whom he was so proud of; Uncle and Godfather Anderson Johnson (Patricia); his second mom & Aunt Loretta Barnes (George); Aunt Doris Lewis (Jeff); Aunt Joyce Latimer; Great Aunt Laverne Johnson; Best friend and Brother Linwood (P-Nut) Hall; dedicated friend to the end Shadon Tonge; Toya Turner who was always his listening ear, along with many cousins, a host of friends, co-workers and loved ones.
