Anthony Harris was born on August 7, 1964 in Norfolk, VA. He was raised by his foster parents, the late Elder Joseph N. Jones and the late Violet E. Jones. He received his angel wings on December 25,2022 at Chesapeake General Hospital at the age of 58. He loved watching football, his team was the Washington Redskins now renamed the Washington Commanders. He loved listening to music and sitting around entertaining his neighbors and friends. He loved quietly and always had a smile on his face when family and friends stopped in for a visit. Though Anthony health was starting to fail, few people knew the extent to which he struggled, his joy for life and indomitable spirit kept him pushing through the pain. When Anthony  completed his journey on earth he knew he was surrounded by love and warmth. He was a faithful brother and uncle. In his last few weeks he spent quality time with his sister, Elaine Mattox. When he had a chance, he always made time for everyone. Anthony leaves behind to mourn his passing nine foster brothers, Marvin and Larry Baker, James Blount, Gerald Harris, Alton, Charlie and Joseph Jones, James White, and Robert Walton, seven foster sisters, Cindy Jones, Junie, Elaine Mattox, Shelia, Silvia Sutton, Terry Wallace and Pamela White, and a host of relatives and friends.
