Angela Jenkins, daughter of the late Henry and Margaret Jenkins, was born in Norfolk, Va., on May 3, 1956. To the dismay of all that loved her, she departed this life on April 21, 2026, joining her sister Nina “Peter”Jenkins, and brother Henry”Buddy” Jenkins. Better known as “Ann” by family and friends, she had a smile that could brighten any room, and a way with cooking that could make all that tasted it do the same. Ann served her communities through through many capacities, such as a Cook and Bus Driver for the Norfolk Public School Board, a long time Cashier with Murry’s Steaks Food Industry, at one time an Usher for Mount Gilead Baptist Church in Norfolk, she even worked as a aid for children with disabilities. The most important of all duties was being mother to her son of 27 years, DeAngelo Miles Jenkins of Virginia Beach, Va.

In her departure, Ann also leaves behind three brothers, two sisters, seven nephews, seven nieces, + all the greats, along with innumerable cousins and loved ones. Sometimes, the loved ones who leave us do so while graciously saying goodbye the best way they know how. But then there are times like these that we never see coming or going. Please keep the family lifted in your prayers as we plan our farewell.
