Alven Gray Cherry Jr. was called home on Saturday , December 25 th 2022.He was born in Norfolk, Virginia , to the late Roberta Cherry and Alven Cherry Sr.

Alven had a heart of gold and was a loving father, grandfather, greatgrandfather , brother and friend. He was loving ,caring, and very proud of his family. If you ever called on him he came with a helping hand. Alven loved to smile and to be the life of the party. He was a hardworking man. He took on many jobs working with his hands.

Alven Cherry Jr. leaves behind to cherish his memories; two daughters, Takisha Cherry and Latoya Cherry, eight grandchildren; Alvina, Travon, Latiya , Iquan , Lakera , and Kevin; ten greatgrandchildren. Sisters; Marvette, Danita, Stephanie the late Gwendolyn Cherry, brothers Theodore & Roy Cherry, and a host of extended friends and family
