Adrain Buford Sellers Jr. "Man" ( 1959-2023 ) died peacefully on March 18th. Adrain was born in Galveston Texas and was the first son of Adrain and Ethel Sellers. As the first son he was proudly given his father's name Adrain, however that name would not be used very much because from the beginning his father referred to him as "My Man". To, which later became "MAN" the name that all his close friends and family called him by. Man, Uncle Man, Cousin Man "Man". Adrain finished his education in the Norfolk Public School system graduating from Lake Taylor High in 1978. After High School he attended a Vocational School to learn how to cook, his dream was to be a Chef but his talent, his real gift was helping the disadvantaged and mentally disabled people. He spent 13 years working with the Special Olympic coaching Basketball, Softball and his favorite sport Bowling. He was an avid bowler until his illness prevented him from being a part of the sport he loved. Words cannot express the joy that was received by the people he coached. Because of his dedication they were able to participate in an activity that gave them a sense of normality in this world that separates those who are different. Adrian other love was the Dallas Cowboys. He was a diehard fan and supported them from an early age. He proudly wore silver and blue colors around town. He started working at the age of 13 at the local Crab House making Crab Pots. He moved on to work in Environmental Health at several Hospitals in the City of Norfolk. (Norfolk Community Hospital, Sentra Norfolk General and Kings Daughters) Adrain always held a job, and he was a hard worker. When he met Diane the woman who became his wife and was the love of his life his life changed. His life seemed to be complete with her by his side. They took trips together to places like New Jersey on bus trips, and Pennsylvania to the Sight and Sound Theater. They were members of Holy Temple Church in Norfolk which they attended regularly. In 2010 Adrain was ordained as a Deacon, which he was very proud of. Loved listening to Gospel music, especially in church. Adrain is survived by his Father Adrain Sellers Sr, sisters: Andrea Echols, Regina Davis, Catherine Sellers and Shalita Sellers and bothers; Reginald Sellers, Damien Sellers and Ramon Sellers. Nieces; Jamila Echols, Porsha Davis, Anisa Sellers. Nephews: Devin Echols, Akili Echols, Reginald Sellers Jr., Jason Sellers, Andrew Sellers, Frederick Davis, Steven David and Alexander Davis, along with his great nieces and nephews and host of Cousins, who will never forget him.
